Rotorua United Summer Football 2011/2012 Rules
1) Entry fee $300-00.00 per team. This includes all games and admission for all players and partners to barbecues.
2) Only Sandshoes or touch shoes to be warn (no boots or mouldies)
3) 20 minute halves with no break at half time.
4) Only seven players per team on the field at one time (at least one of which has to be female).
5) Captains allowed to substitute players as often as they wish.
6) Soccer rules apply. For those in doubt, these will be explained before your first game. No offside or scoring in the circle unless headed or off upper body.
7) Each player can play for ONLY ONE team. The only exemption is as a fill in player registered for another team. A new outside player is not a fill in
8) A team can have a maximum of three fill ins on the field at one time without any penalty. If four or more fill ins are playing at any one time, the game will be played however points will be forfeited to the opposition.
9) When fill ins are used, teams must play their own players first and therefore cannot have their own players on the side line while fill ins are on the field. If this rule is broken, the game will continue but the points will be forfeited to the opposition team. A fill in cannot score a goal or play in goal.
10) A protest must be lodged on the night of play with regard to the above rules (8,9) before the committee will forfeit points.
11) Each team to have matching tee shirts for all players. Any player not in uniform will be sent off until proper uniform is worn.
12) At the completion of the 7:30pm games the teams involved return the nets, balls and goalpost to the back of clubrooms and put away in a tidy manner.
13) Due to Licensing Rules, teams must not bring their own alcohol to the clubrooms and also alcohol purchased in the clubrooms must not be taken out of the clubrooms.
14)The Committee reserves the right to make any decisions final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15) The Referee or Committee has the right to stop a player from participating if that player has consumed alcohol prior to playing.
16) A goal can be scored inside the 10 metre half circle (the D) off any part of the body except the legs and arms, i.e., if a cross hits an attacking player on the back and scores, a goal will be allowed. Own goals can be scored but deflections from shots inside the circle are not goals.
17) Referees can send any player to the sin-bin for 5 minutes or send any player off for the rest of the game. Any player sent off can be substituted so that 7 players are on the field at all times.
18) Referees reports can be sent to the Committee who will have sole discretion over any stand-down period. This Committee will consist of Edward Coward, S Taylor, Ray Wells, Sue Hunter. The player and his manager will have the right to make their case.
19) The referee will be the sole judge of the matters on the field.
20) Penalty shoot-outs will consist of five players from each team. Any player can be goalkeeper. Each team to use players from own team and no fill ins. The most number of players in any team will determine the number to be used by the other team.
21 NO PLAYER SHALL BE YOUNGER THAN 13 YEARS OLD.
22) When a female player scores it will count as two goals.
23) Each team to provide one person to referee half a game of their own game each week.
24) Any team member that hits the ball over the fence onto Te Ngae Rd will be liable for any damages to vehicles that may occur. Teams may help by sharing the cost of any damage if they wish. The Rotorua United Football Club will not be liable for any damages to vehicles travelling on Te Ngae Rd.
